Back in 1996, we stayed in Togwotee (then the Cowboy Village Resort in Togwotee). I agree, quite a drive at night. Their brochure said 17 miles from GTNP, but seemed much longer. I recommend their cabins over the lodge rooms. More privacy and quieter. I'm not familiar with Hatchett except that it is closer than Togwotee. The Lodge has excellent staff,a good large bar with draught beer, and a nice menu . The bedroom we had was wood panelled as one might expect of a lodge and very comfortable. In season the lodge sells fuel. We enjoyed Jenny Lake best, beautiful setting, great facilities, pleasant walk and abundant wildlife. Moll later sold to the Weideman family, who built the existing lodge. They completed the lodge in 1965 and called it Togwotee Mountain Lodge. The old Angle’s Camp Lodge was renovated and moved in 1982 to its present site, a.k.a the convenience store.
